Tiffany Style Window

This week my daughter Jacqui, decided she wanted the Tiffany Style Stained Glass window in her open hallway upstairs! We have done one already for a customer, so it wasn't going to be hard making a new pattern, cutting, etc. We got started right away after she purchased the glass. It's going well! I will update in a few days! Trudy

Pruning crepe murtles

I found out this year that you DO NOT have to prune a crepe off the top!! You prune it from the bottom up and leave the leaves on top and the extra old stems. That way it grows bigger, taller and more full and it doesn't look bushy! Works for me. I pruned some more yesterday and they look fabulous! I love working in the yard in the sunshine and under God's presence!

Diggin in the dirt

Springtime! It's time to dig out those dreaded weeds! I finally had the energy to get some dandilions out of my flower bed yesterday. What a job! I am bound and determined to get the rest of it done this week. Last year it didn't get accomplished as well as I would have liked, but God has given me some extra energy and the weeds will be conquered! It also helps to have a small rototiller to get in between the plants and air out the soil. There's nothing more satisfying than a weed-free flower garden. Trudy

Attic Findings

Still working on Granny's attic. What a job! The girls and I found some Fisher Price toys from 30 years ago tucked away in an old delapidated cardboard box. All the people and parts were there, believe it or not, along with little dump trucks and traffic signs. The (still working) musical ferris wheel with wooden people was amazing to hear and see, along with the town that had car ramps and a mail car with real mail in the back. Cool. Trudy

Cleaning the Attic

It was spring cleaning and organizational time at Granny's house today. The attic was a LONG time in need of organizing. You know what they say tho, you can't get organized until you have a mess first. There is oodles to do yet, but it's started and we found many, many memories of my mother and also things I used to do (wood crafting, wreath-making, etc.)old toys, dolls, canning jars (anyone want any?)and insulation!! EVERYWHERE! More to come....Trudy

Easter

What a glorious day! First thing- worshipping at church - Thanking God for all His blessings, especially salvation! Be Happy! Second, a long beautiful ride on our motorcycle with friends to Hanging Rock State Park! Gorgeous! Couldn't have a better day. Then dinner at our son, Jeremy's house. Yummy, and I didn't have to cook! The grandkids were awesome. Went home exhausted but fulfilled and very, very, grateful for all we have. Trudy

Making house plant sticks

Our newest creation in the Glass Gallery Girls collection would be our stained glass plant sticks! We took parts of a wire hanger (as the stick) to be placed in the dirt of the plant and soldered our colorful butterflies to it. Each butterfly is an original color, wired and jeweled differently. Picture will follow, but to see our whole collection of stained glass, go to glassgallerygirls@etsy.com.
